Overview

Pterins (from the Greek pteron = wing) are naturally-occurring heterocyclic compounds responsible for the vibrant color of butterfly wings.

In the 1970's at UCLA, a fluorescent blue spot was consistently observed in the chromatograms of urine from cancer patients. That blue spot is determined to be pterin-6-aldehyde.

Search of scientific literature revealed some pterins possess anti-tumor and immuno-modulatory properties. Study of the chemistry of "active" pterins led to successful testing of calcium pterin (Pterin+Calcium™) for antitumor activity.

Further refinement of the calcium pterin structure led to the synthesis DCP™ by Dr. Wolfgang Pfleiderer, and to the in vivo testing and patenting of DCP by SanRx.

Pterin+Calcium – A Nutraceutical with Life-Saving Possibilities

The Pterin+Calcium nutraceutical, or dietary supplement version, works by greatly increasing the levels of naturally occurring pterin in the body. It is currently in FDA approval, with release anticipated for the third quarter of 2011.

Because the compound's molecular structure is closely similar to the naturally occurring human molecule, and offers significant life-saving possibilities against a wide range of lethal cancers, Pterin+Calcium's possibility of FDA approval is high.

DCP – Imagine Treating Cancer Without Unwanted Side Effects

Cancer treatment based on th SanRx drug DCP is orally administered. We expect this treatment to be more effective than existing chemotherapy and to avoid the debilitating side effects such as hair loss and nausea.

Initially, the drug would be used in combination with existing therapies. Eventually, our early results suggest that it may be the primary therapy for a large percentage of human cancer patients.
